A Festival Full of Wonder and Mystery
The Velvet Festival experience is full of wonder and mystery. With every step inside its playful world on Krk Island, Croatia, you enter a new dimension.
As friends and compadres/ com-madres from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and beyond, an infinite web of possibilities floats through the air. Between conversations, dance moves, glances, fashion, smiles, drinks of choice, and vibes, there is an eclecticism that is celebrated, and somehow it just works.

There's a homogeneity that is gorgeous between the house music on the Love Forever Stage, rock bands on the Main Stage, collective takeovers by Radar Belgrade on the Tunel Stage, and two boat parties each day.
"If Velvet had a scent it would definitely be the smell of passing summer rain, pine trees, and that amazing, crisp sea air we are lucky to be surrounded with" - Dino Grgurić
Velvet Festival Location: Punat, Krk Island

Located in Punat on Krk Island, in northern Croatia along the Adriatic seaside, Velvet Festival’s backdrop is a panorama of rolling hills and distant islands glowing in the sunset. During festival season, every apartment in Punat is booked out, as it’s peak tourist time for both families and festival-goers.
The stretch of beach bars, water activities, restaurants, and playgrounds is just the beginning of Punat, until you reach the final destination: the wonderful Velvet Festival.
The Unique Velvet Festival Atmosphere

The environment is unique, peaceful, playful, and free. Everyone is respectful and autonomous, creating an atmosphere where creativity and connection thrive.
"Besides good music and a tan, I hope the takeaway is a sense of the community we became. The happiness in those final moments. How it felt like we all truly knew each other. It was something really special."
A Final Chapter or ... ?
This year, Velvet Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary and it was said to be their final chapter. The future remains undefined, but the team hints that something new is on the horizon. For now, we can reflect on the memories they gave us, shimmering like sunlight on the sea.
Thank you, Velvet, for all you’ve done for the community. Here’s to the hope that we can gather again soon under a different name, a new concept, or perhaps just another secret moment waiting to unfold.
"If we buried a time capsule in the sand at Krk, you would find a pirated CD with the 50 greatest love songs (including Sailing by Christopher Cross, of course), a few undeveloped film rolls, and a faded autograph of Pino D’angio"
